Meteorologist Badge

To complete your meteorologist badge you will need to follow the directions here
Record your weather observations for 2 weeks. You may also find the information here useful. You don't need to make the weather station we will give you a list of materials to bring after the two weeks for us to make a weather station. Just use the information in the sheet to learn about how to read the weather. You can use the internet or tv to help you but try and make observations about the weather from going and looking outside. Please record Date and Time, Wind direction, Wind Force, Temperature, Pressure, Rainfall, Weater and Total Cloud Cover as accurately as you can. Try here for some of the data.
Try to take your observations at the same time every day, wherever you are.
At the end of the two weeks please send your observations by email to crostonscouts@googlemail.com

Scouts Cancelled

Scouts was cancelled tonight (12/01/10) as the current weather conditions have created a nice ice slide on the ramp outside the hut. We decided to use the time to have a quick leaders meeting in the Nelson.

We have come up with a great programme for the start of 2010 and also some really fun ideas in the pipeline. It is hoped that this blog will be adopted by the scouts as part of their IT badge and then updated on a weekly basis.

Thats all for now should have some good posts coming soon.
